How to submit genealogy information
Our preferred method is to receive your information in a GEDCOM file. All we then have to do is import your information into our master GEDCOM file.
We then use the master GEDCOM file to create a database which supplies the data you see on the pages of this site. Using a database is a faster, more flexible way of making web pages. Updating this site takes (literally) five mouse clicks!
To create a GEDCOM file you'll need a genealogy program, We use Family Tree Maker. But any decent genealogy program will create a GEDCOM file , so use whichever program you like and are most comfortable with. It can be sent by using this *Upload file Form.or by E-mail.
But that is not the only way we'll accept your info!
If you don't want to use a genealogy program it's not a problem. We'll accept your data in whatever form you send it to us. We consider the data is the important thing, the means of getting it to us is not so important!
You can also contribute genealogy information (while you're online) via this Family Update Form.
TYPED MATERIAL
If your data is on your computer in a MS Word document or text file you can send that as an E-mail attachment, or use the *Upload File Form to send it. It's a simple matter for us to then cut-and-paste the info.
*Upload File Form: This form sends the data directly to or Web-Server.The file that you send can not be greater than ((2.00Mb)-(2000Kb)).If so, you can try to ZIP the file that you are sending.
